Media figure Avi Ka'akon was reported on 19 August 2026 to have been appointed spokesperson for Harish Municipality. The post reports directly to the chief executive and covers communications policy, media relations, social media, information for residents and promotion of municipal projects and events.
Ka'akon, 50, was born in Pardes Hanna-Karkur. He presents the talk and music programme "Kim'at Shabbat Shalom" on Keshet 12, now in its ninth season, and on Galei Tzahal presented and edited "Tziporei Laila," on Israeli music and the culture industry. He served on the Pardes Hanna-Karkur council from 2010 to 2018.
He succeeds Dr. Noam Hadad, who held the post from November 2019. Hadad was previously spokesperson for Nahariya Municipality, after eleven years in journalism, including as an editor of local papers in the Yedioth Ahronoth group and on the ynet news desk.
