Harish City Hall said in a statement late on Thursday, 23 July 2026, that Home Front Command defensive guidelines remain unchanged and that the municipality is prepared for any development, amid media reports and public discussion of the security situation. It did not specify which reports prompted the statement.
"As of now, there is no change in the Home Front Command's defensive policy," the municipality said. "If that changes, we will update you immediately through the city's official channels."
Acting mayor Yochai Fara'ji and the professional staff are monitoring developments and are in continuous contact with Home Front Command officials, the statement said. The municipal emergency teams are organized to respond as needed, and the call center is available at *6719 or 106.
Residents were asked to follow Home Front Command instructions and rely only on official sources.
