Harish's city rabbi, Rabbi Asher Zagdon, visited 16 synagogues across the city during the night before Hoshana Rabba, which fell on Friday, 2 October 2026, addressing worshippers at each.
In his opening remarks he asked residents to light a memorial candle on Friday evening, and to dedicate Mishnah study, Psalms and an Ashkevah prayer to those murdered in the Simchat Torah massacre of 7 October 2023.
