Municipal crews in Harish recovered a young mother's phone and credit card from an underground ("tamun") residential waste container, the resident said in a Facebook post reported on 21 July 2026.
She had accidentally dropped the phone, with the card attached, into the container while out with her baby. After the loss was reported, a garbage truck was called in and the container was emptied in a joint operation; the phone was found and returned with the card.
She thanked acting mayor Yochai Fara'ji; the operations department headed by Shlomi Cohen; the sanitation department and Shlomi Peretz; Matan Cohen of the Zvi Cohen company, who found the phone in the emptied load; the business-licensing department and Moshe Bar Shalom; and Avi Gozlan, who followed the case to its end. "I'm happy to be part of this city," she wrote.
