Harish opened its summer season with a week of community events that drew thousands of residents, led by the municipality's leisure and community division. The opening slate included a health-and-movement happening, a summer kickoff party for teens, a graduation ceremony for the youth barista course, and "Mundialito 2026," which launched the summer's sports events.
The highlight was a pair of giant foam-party zones operating at two locations around the city, which attracted thousands of children, teens and parents.
The opening week is the front end of a packed Summer 2026 program running through July and August, with tracks for children, teens, adults, seniors, new immigrants and the Torah-observant public. Among the scheduled highlights: jewelry-making, pasta and comics workshops in mid-July; World Cup final screenings for youth; water sports, a Luna Park trip and a chess championship in late July; surfing camps, magic shows and planetarium visits in early August; a beer festival for ages 18 and up on August 20; and an "ice cream theater" plus a full-moon night-navigation activity in late August.
Events take place at community centers, the municipal library, the culture hall, sports facilities and parks across the city. Registration is handled through the municipality's Smarticket system, and cancellations go through the *6719 resident service center.
For English-speaking residents: most activities run in Hebrew, but movement- and sport-based events are generally accessible regardless of Hebrew level; check individual event pages for age groups and fees.
