The wedding of Yuval and Yaron, a couple from Harish, had been planned months in advance. The hall, the dress, the DJ and every other detail were already in place. Two days before the date, however, the bride was admitted to the women's ward at Hillel Yaffe Medical Center in Hadera, putting the celebration in doubt.
Rather than postpone, the couple, their families and the hospital staff decided to bring the wedding to the ward. Together they organized a modest ceremony at the hospital, allowing relatives, friends and medical teams to take part in the occasion.
Those present described an emotional and joyful celebration that went ahead in full despite the unexpected circumstances.
